Stan Haugland passed away on Wednesday 12/09/2009

4th Verse to the Marine Hymn by Stan Haugland:

From the boondocks of Afghanistan, to the deserts of Iraq,
They fight while carry-ing fifty pounds of gear, upon their back.
If al-Qaida and the Taliban, ever learn what honor means,
They would find the word defined by: "The Few, The Proud, The Marines."

Our dear friend and fellow Marine Stan Haugland in now serving with our Lord in Heaven.
It was only a few moments ago that Stan was leading us all in the Marine Hymn at our Detachment meeting.
Stan was a wonderful man and true friend to all of us.
His joyful spirit and willingness to help others was profound.
Stan’s presence at our gatherings will be sorely missed.
